About TWJ Events Supplies

Our Story

TWJ stands for Thandi (the founder), Wayne (her husband), and Junior (their son). Established in 2009 in Soweto, TWJ Events began as a family-run business. Wayne retired in 2016, and since then, Thandi has been the sole owner.

In 2012, Thandi won the Soweto Business Woman of the Year award from the Business Women’s Association. She also attended the 10,000 Women Program at GIBS Business School from 2014 to 2015.

The business has faced its share of challenges, including the looting events of June 2021. Thanks to the love and support of both our local and global communities, who offered financial and emotional assistance, we managed to rebuild and have been trading again since September 2021. Resilience and hard work truly define Thandi as an entrepreneur.

Today, TWJ Events specializes in helping parents and guardians with school projects for learners in Grades 4–9, taking the stress out of educational demands. Let’s work together to support our future leaders.
